Rumplepimple takes his book on tour beginning May 30 2015
“Rumplepimple’s actual name is Charles Montgomery DeWitt Hall, but that’s a bit of a mouthful for anyone. We are a nickname kind of family, and so on one particularly shaggy hair day, we began calling Charlie Rumplestiltskin. But nicknames morph and change, and so Rumplestiltskin evolved into Rumplepilskin and Rumplepumple and eventually into Rumplepimple.” Suzanne DeWitt-Hall, author
Rumplepimple has his own blogger
“Anyone who’s ever been owned by a terrier knows that they are a creature unlike any other. Wire Fox Terrier minds are busily plotting the takeover of the world, or at least the successful destruction of the latest squeaker toy. You can detect their naughtiness through the glint of a half lidded eye and the angle of a turned head. They are smart, willful, obsessive, and stubborn. They are also funny, energetic, cuddly (on their own terms) and generally adorable.” Suzanne De-Witt Hall, author
Rumplepimple is so outrageous he even has his own blog!
Rumplepimple leaves sister home while on tour, May 2015
“We will be doing readings in a variety of places such as libraries, pet stores, schools, homeschooling events etc. We also plan to show up at events which support same-sex parenting, and Wire Fox Terrier families.” Suzanne DeWitt-Hall, author
And why did you leave his mean old sister “Chicken” behind to go on tour?
“I see Rumplepimple as a character that can continue to make kids giggle, show them that their feelings of being misunderstood are shared, and illustrate an alternative family structure so that children in similar configurations know that they are not alone. The plan is for this book to be the first in a series of adventures, all of which would support those goals.” Suzanne DeWitt-Hall, author
