Chloe: “We can be civilized, right? Amicably co-work?”
“Ninety Degrees” is the August 20 episode of “Rookie Blue.” Warning: this article contains spoilers. Be sure to check out the slideshow for more quotes from the episode. “Rookie Blue” airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. CT on ABC.
Marlo’s back! It was actually really great to see her again. She teamed up with Andy, and thankfully, instead of making it about the awkwardness of their situation, we were reminded of their friendship. They work well together. There’s trust. You sort of need to trust the person that’s delivering your baby.
Oliver’s back to work, and he’s in beat cop clothes. It makes sense. He was betrayed when he was in a position of power, so he figured he’ll go back to his glory days before all of this nonsense happened. Too bad he hated it.
Well, maybe hate is too strong of a word, but Oliver spent the hour wanting something exciting to happen (nothing did) and judging Jarvis’ decisions. It would have been great if Oliver’s sass and complaints about how Jarvis was doing his job went on a little longer, but his comments during parade were perfection. Do you think Oliver is going to put his white shirt back on by the end of the season?
Maybe Jarvis knew what he was doing though when he assigned Dov and Chloe to work the front desk together. Aww, Jarvis do you want your favorite 15 couple to get back together? We see right through your tough exterior.
Watching Dov and Chloe being forced to work side by side was amazing and exactly what they needed. The case of the delusional love story was a perfect one for them to take on. What better way to work out your problems than to discuss your views of a perfect relationship with a guy who is in a made up one? It gave them a little push to finally get back together. Are you happy Dov and Chloe have made up?
The case at Lakehurst was nothing special. It really was just a way for Marlo to get back into the loop. Sadie being there made it obvious that she was somehow connected to the murder of Alan. There wasn’t any surprise or intrigue with the case, even Duncan couldn’t make it more amusing.
Traci and Gail are still trying to work through Steve’s betrayal. It would have been nice to get more of an immediate reaction from everyone, but at least we got to see how Gail and Traci have been. Traci shutting herself away from everyone wasn’t surprising, but her reaction to Gail was a little uncalled for.
Gail is not Steve. While everyone at work judging Gail was to be expected, but that same judgment is probably also being directed at Traci. They were the two people closest to Steve. Traci should have realized she is in the same situation as Gail and been a little more nice. The tension between the two of them didn’t really make sense.
What did you think of the episode? Are we shipping Gail and Frankie yet? Should we be worried about how sad Andy looked when watching Sam, Marlo, and their baby girl in the hospital? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below.
