RINO = Republican In Name Only
When Republicans un-apologetically embrace conservatism with the time-proven Reagan-Bush Sr. approach, they win by landslides. It happens every time. When they “reach across the aisle” and vote like Democrats on issue-after-issue with the failed Dole-McCain-Romney approach, our right-of-center electorate doesn’t show up and they always lose.
The following is a list of Bobby Jindal’s liberal RINO policy positions and red flags from his background:
-In July of 2013, he supported giving illegal immigrants amnesty and a path to citizenship, and demanded that we expand legal immigration “by a lot.”
-In March of this year, he advocated the GOP’s slightly less unconstitutional “defund, repeal, & replace” strategy of running health care differently, rather than simply following the Constitution and removing illegal federal intrusions and interference altogether (i.e., letting states run their own affairs as required by the 10th Amendment). He believes in taxpayer-funded “premium support” through Medicare.
He embraced the “right” of health care in November of 2010. Being unable to tell the difference between a right (a God-given liberty that cannot be legitimately violated–like free speech or free religious exercise) and a privilege (something that someone else must provide–like education, health care, etc.) is a major red flag. He believes the Federal Government should be involved in ensuring universal access to health care (February of 2009), improving care for autism (April 2007), and he supported the creation of a national childhood cancer database (March of 2007).
-In January of 2012, he enthusiastically implemented Common Core (before he was against it).
-In November of 2010, he stated that it was the role of the Federal Government to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves–a nanny state function that was never authorized under the Constitution (hence it is to be addressed at the state and local level, as required under the 10th Amendment).
-In January of 2007, he voted to increase the Minimum Wage (i.e., to make the poor less employable while skyrocketing costs for everyone…as forced, artificial wage increases always do).
-In September of 2014, he endorsed the premise of the left’s alarmist war on science, insisting that “human activity is having an impact on the climate.”
-In June of 2006, he voted to more than quadruple the funding for Amtrak–a dysfunctional, inferior product of unconstitutional federal meddling in the railroad industry.
