RINO = Republicans In Name Only
When Republicans un-apologetically embrace conservatism with the time-proven Reagan-Bush Sr. approach, they win by landslides. It happens every time. When they “reach across the aisle” and vote like Democrats on issue-after-issue with the failed Dole-McCain-Romney approach, our right-of-center electorate doesn’t show up and they always lose.
The following is a list of Ben Carson’s liberal RINO policy positions and red flags from his background:
-In March of 2013, he told Glenn Beck that 2nd Amendment rights only exist for people who live in certain kinds of areas.
-In April of 2015, he spoke at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and informed them that he and Sharpton share the same goals for America.
-In May of 2015, he falsely cast doubt on the police in the Freddie Gray controversy, stating that Gray’s injuries “would be almost impossible to acquire…by simply rolling around in a van.” Of course, this ignores the fact that a witness confirmed early on that Freddie Gray deliberately injured himself (the witness later denied having said this once it made him unpopular with the black community, but then the video was released of him telling the police exactly that).
-In January of 2012, he joined liberals in perpetuating the outrageously false misinformation that “not enough government” is what destroyed the housing market and imploded the economy in 2008—a claim that has been repeatedly debunked and flies in the face of all the facts and evidence.
-In January of 2012, he stated that deporting illegal immigrants is taking “the moral low road” and advocated a “guest worker program.”
-In his 2014 book One Nation, he demonized Wall Street executives (corporations wouldn’t be a problem if government weren’t for sale) and promoted the left’s wildly erroneous revisionist history about the Great Depression, which was caused and worsened at every turn by endless nanny state interference in the free market.
-In his 2012 book America the Beautiful, he suggested that President Bush should have responded to 9/11 by funding “green” technologies rather than by fighting back.
-He vilifies insurance companies, seeks increased federal regulation of the health insurance industry (including radical leftist price controls), and wants the Federal Government to directly manage all catastrophic health care (see here).
-He is on the record advocating that conservatives vote for Republicans even when they stand for nothing and vote like Democrats.
(He was born in Michigan. His parents were both born in the U.S. Click here for the definition of ‘natural-born citizen.’)
