Opening wine isn’t always the easiest of processes. Sure, sometimes getting the cork out works like a charm, and then there are times when you’re ready to just break the neck of the bottle out of desperation. Personally, there has been a time or two when getting the cork out resulted in accidentally punching myself in the face. The Rabbit Automatic Electric Corkscrew, however, changes the game.
Before using the first time, it has to be charged for four hours, at which point it’s good to go. Connect the included charging wire from the outlet to the top of the corkscrew. The foil cutter is attached to the top of the corkscrew body, so all you have to do is press the inner wheels against the foil, twist the bottle all the way around, and the foil is cut without a problem.
Now for the cork removal. Put the Rabbit Automatic Electric Corkscrew on the top of the bottle, slide it down over the neck a bit, and you’ll hear the motor start to work. Once it stops, take it off the bottle and the cork releases. In case of any minor issues, you can manually stop the corkscrew (or eject it) via a tiny button at the top.
It was surprising how easy the Rabbit Automatic Electric Corkscrew was to use. As long as I used it correctly, the corkscrew worked in seconds with no tugging at the cork and no other problems whatsoever. After testing it with several bottles of wine, there were still no issues with it.
Now to really put it to the test by having my 95-year-old grandmother – who has arthritic hands – try to get the cork out of a wine bottle by using the Rabbit Automatic Electric Corkscrew. While I held the bottle, she put the corkscrew over the neck of the bottle, the motor started, and once it stopped, she removed the corkscrew. The cork then ejected. Her words were, “That’s it? That was easy.” Grandma isn’t going to be cracking open any more wine bottles, but it goes to show that even with problematic hands, using the Rabbit Automatic Electric Corkscrew is simple.
The Rabbit Automatic Electric Corkscrew comes in sturdy cylindrical-shaped packaging, and the sleek design of the product itself makes it beautiful enough to leave it out on display. It’s definitely a great item to keep for yourself or give as a gift.
