“I Touched All Your Stuff” is a film about a man named Chris Kirk. Kirk is bored with his job, his life, and wants a new change. What does he do? He goes to Colombia, meets a girl that is called V, and that starts his new life. Kirk doesn’t want your usual life, which that’s what he got. What the movie does is show more about the relationship between Kirk and this girl named V. The directors of the film are Maira Buhler and Matias Mariani. They were given permission to look at Kirk’s computer, so doing the film the viewer gets many glimpses of photos, videos, and music.
The movie doesn’t really talk about Kirk being convicted as a drug smuggler in Brazil. What it does tell the viewer is that he moved to Colombia because he read an article about Pablo Escobar’s hippos. Also get to learn that he was an I.T. specialist before the whole V relationship. He never had anyone that loved him before, so he let V string him along. What happens though is that they both switch lives. He goes deeper into the dark, while V supposedly decides to settle down.
Of a whole it’s interesting and absorbing. The directors talk to the people that knew Chris, some better than others. His friends don’t believe that he’s a criminal. They think that he’s just a person that was bored and that he just wanted excitement in his life. The others that weren’t as close believe that if he was in a movie, he would be the killer. He’s someone that looks like a very nice naive guy, but this man believes that he’s a lot cunning and would kill if he had too. The man said that Chris never paid his hotel bills and stole money. So the film gives two versions of who Chris is. The directors even can’t decide on Chris.
If you want to learn about what Kirk did and why, you’ll only get that he was bored and loved a mysterious woman. It’s a movie about fate and how things can change in an instance. The filming isn’t like your usual documentary. It’s safe to say that it’s a strange film. One minute you’ll be seeing a Pinocchio rendition to scenes of Chris instant messaging V’s other men. To learn more about the film, you can watch the trailer here. Overall it’s a pretty good movie and one of the most interesting to come out in awhile. The viewer can either decide on how they feel about Chris. That’s what makes the movie fun. The directors just give facts and it’s up to the viewer to figure out Chris. Was he stupid? Well remember it all started because of hippos.
