The Redskins vs. Panthers 2015 live stream and televised football game brings one of the last two undefeated teams of the NFL season to the field in an early afternoon game Sunday. Carolina will play the role of hosts, with a 9-0 record, as the Washington Redskins visit and attempt to hand them their first loss. Right now, the Panthers are sitting pretty within the NFC, but a few losses will have several other teams possibly contending with them for homefield advantage in the playoffs. Today’s Washington – Carolina NFL live stream and TV coverage arrives via Fox sports networks on Sunday.
According to NFL.com in their Nov. 21 report, it could be a big day for one Panthers rookie as Carolina tries to top Washington for a 10-0 start. Rookie receiver Devin Funchess is expected to make his first career start in the game as the Panthers usual starter, Corey Brown, has been listed as doubtful for the game. Brown has been dealing with a shoulder injury, which gives the former University of Michigan tight end Funchess the opportunity to show what he’s got. While he struggled early in the season with six dropped passes, he still has plenty of upside thanks to his size out there with QB Cam Newton.
The opposing Washington Redskins are 4-5 overall and looking to get closer to the top of their division, the NFC East. Unfortunately, the Redskins are also 0-4 in road games this season. Kirk Cousins played great in last week’s 47-14 win over the Saints, as he threw 324 yards and fourth touchdowns on 20-of-25 passing. Now he’ll be up against one of the league’s best defenses in Carolina. The Panthers have held opposing QBs to just a 69.1 passer rating, and they’re also tied for 14 interceptions right now, giving Cousins quite a test.
Vegas odds makers first had the point spread at 7-1/2 points in favor of the home team and it’s held right around the number or at least at a touchdown in their favor. On the moneyline, Carolina is priced at -340 while the Redskins are +270 underdogs. For Sunday’s over/under points total, the number to consider is 45 for the complete game. Even though they’re undefeated, Carolina is still listed as fourth on the favorites to win the Super Bowl. With odds of 17 to 2, they trail the 8-1 Cincinnati Bengals, 7-2 Arizona Cardinals and the undefeated New England Patriots.
Sunday afternoon’s Redskins vs. Panthers game gets started at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
