Over the years recording artist Woodson Michel has shown his ability to tell a great story through music and create some amazing visual images along the way with the accompanying videos. Whether it is his single “Let Me Be” which has over 92k Youtube hits or “Killing Me” with an astounding 529k Youtube hits he seems to have the perfect formula or speaking for the guys and saying the things the ladies love to hear.
In 2015 he mixes things up a bit showing that he is not a one-note artist with his doo-wop style single “Whoa”. Available on all online retailers the single is another example of Woodson tapping into something that goes beyond a certain genre of music and delivering a message that everyone can feel.
Talking about that special lady in his life he says she is “like no other”, making him want to “do anything” for her, “even catch a bullet for my lady.” Again, Woodson says the words that guys sometimes which they were able to relay through words and that the ladies want to be told by that special someone. “Don’t think that I’m crazy,” he says, “just in love. She’s the special girl I’m dreaming of… She’s my girl. She’s my everything. She’s got me saying ‘Whoa’.”
If the message of the song wasn’t enough Woodson has released a fun video that really brings the words to life. Instead of the usual club scenes you see him and the object of his affection in a variety of scenes that makes you want to move and sing along. This is Woodson at his best: no glitz and glamour. Just a focus on the music.
