Rebecca Minkoff unveils the brand’s third Flagship location in the United States. The 4,600 square foot space, located on 8335 Melrose Avenue, will be the brand’s largest store in the world. The Los Angeles store will be equipped with the same, revolutionary eBay powered technology that the brand unveiled in their New York and San Francisco stores last year. This store concept has been hailed as the “Store of the Future”.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our biggest flagship store to date,” said Uri Minkoff, CEO and Co-Founder. “We have had the advantage of having participated, with great foresight, in the fashion & tech dialogue from the very beginning which gave us great knowledge and access to partnerships that made this dream store into a reality. The amount of detail and embedded tech that has gone into this retail embodiment has given us the opportunity to reach our ultimate goal in catering to next-generation shoppers.”
“I feel so incredibly grateful and excited to open yet another store in California; a place near and dear to our hearts and our home State. We have really been focusing on expanding our brick and mortar stores this year and this store, in particular, represents the millennial woman and her approach to shopping– it was designed to personally identify with our customer,” Rebecca Minkoff said of the new store.
In addition to the store front, the brand will also have Minkoff Projects, a 750 square foot space, served to be a gallery for rotating art, music and technology. “With Minkoff Projects, we’re not only engaging our customer with the brick and mortar and technology experience, we’re also engaging her into a conversation about her culture– what she likes to do and bringing that to her in a new way,” Rebecca Minkoff said of the concept space.
The store will also include a space dedicated to the brand’s latest endeavor- athleisure. The Rebecca Minkoff athleisure line is a full line of work-out clothes and bags. “I started noticing that our customer wants to have an even more casual approach to dressing, mixing that feeling of relaxed, but still keeping it chic,” Minkoff said of her athleisure line, “They’re your everyday clothes. As a lifestyle brand, our goal is to have our girl want to wear us for all of her events and experiences, and this tied into that.”
The entire Rebecca Minkoff collection will be available at the Melrose Avenue location, including handbags, ready-to-wear, athleisure, denim, shoes, jewelry, wearable tech, small leather goods and accessories. Following Los Angeles, Rebecca Minkoff is slated to open an additional store using this retail model in Chicago later this year.
In addition to the Rebecca Minkoff collection, the space will also be home to the first ever Uri Minkoff flagship store. The Uri Minkoff store will carry the full range of Uri Minkoff including the highly anticipated shoe line which debuts for Fall 2015.
