The Baltimore Ravens are taking on the Cleveland Browns this Monday night on November 30, 2015, at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Game time is 8:30 pm EDT and the game is on “Monday Night Football” on TV on ESPN with announcers Jon Gruden, Mike Tirico and sideline reporter Lisa Salters.
This game is a tough sell on “Monday Night Football” because the Ravens and Browns have a combined five wins between them entering Week 12 of the NFL season. The Ravens lost quarterback Joe Flacco last week to a season-ending knee injury and the Browns have demoted Johnny Manziel to third string QB after he partied hard and publicly during Cleveland’s bye week. Originally, Manziel was going to start the remainder of the Browns games this season to see if he could be a NFL QB but he screwed that up royally.
- Baltimore Ravens +3 at Cleveland Browns (O/U is 41 points)
The Baltimore Ravens are 3-7 on the season and they find themselves a three point underdog this week on the road vs the Cleveland Browns on “Monday Night Football”. The Ravens have wins this season over the Steelers, Chargers and Rams. The Ravens have losses to the Broncos, Raiders, Bengals, Browns, 49ers, Cardinals, and Jaguars. With Joe Flacco out, Matt Schaub is starting for the Ravens and his record as a NFL QB is 46-44. Schaub has not started a game since 2013. If Flacco was starting the Ravens would have been favored in this game.
The Cleveland Browns are 2-8 on the season. The Browns have wins over the Titans and Ravens. The Browns have losses to the Jets, Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Rams, Cardinals, Bengals and Steelers. Josh McCown is starting for the Browns at QB and his lifetime record in the NFL as a starter is 18-39. It’s hard to bet on a NFL QB as a favorite in a game with a record like that.
The over/under for the game is 41 points. The Ravens are averaging 23 points scored per game while the Browns are averaging 19 points scored per game. The Ravens defense is giving up an average of 25 points per game and the Browns defense is giving up 28 points per game.
Who will win this game really comes down to how well Matt Schaub can play at quarterback for the Ravens. If Schaub has a decent game the Ravens are a very live underdog but he has not started a game in over two years. Josh McCown has played well this season at times but he’s 1-6 as the Browns starting QB this season. His lone win this season was vs the Ravens.
