Princess Cruises’ new specialty restaurant SHARE by Curtis Stone, which you read about here recently, is about to open with a mouthwatering menu of signature dishes designed to be well, shared. The Santa Clarita, California-based cruise company announced today, Aug. 19, that the official launch of the famous celebrity chef’s restaurant will be set in place on Golden Princess this fall and in December 2015 aboard Ruby Princess and Emerald Princess. This will mark the first venture to the high seas for Chef Stone who, a well-established culinary wizard who began his career in the kitchen at the age of 18 in his homeland of Australia and has since worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in London, become a mentor on Food Network’s All-Star Academy and host of the network’s brand-new show Beach Eats.
Foodies who enjoying tastings will be particularly thrilled about the addition of SHARE to the Princess fleet. Special offerings of his famous fare will be on “Crafted by Curtis” menus in the main dining rooms will debut aboard in the main dining room while Curtis Stone’s Chef’s Table experience will debut in early 2016. Some of Stone’s mouthwatering creations include a Charcuterie starter course; Butter Roasted Lobster with Caramelized Endive and Endive Foam; Twice Cooked Duck Leg with Fennel, Bacon jus and Parmesan Crumb; Tagliatelle with Roasted Alaskan Crab, Chili and Parsley; and Dark Chocolate Cremeux with Toasted Hazelnut Feuilletine and Burnt Vanilla Bean ice cream.
A signature feature of SHARE ill be the communal table where food lovers can sample dishes with their travel mates. The elegant table will be set with hand blown glass pendants etched with some of Chef Stone’s favorite recipes cast an intimate glow and create a warm and celebratory experience. Elements not often seen in cruise ship restaurant interiors add to the friendly atmosphere – low-backed banquettes, beautifully upholstered in luxe Chesterfield tufted leather and decorative curios from Chef Stone’s own collection including photographs and travel souvenirs make guests feel even more at home.
SHARE will actually debut on a Ruby Princess sailing from Los Angeles on cruises to Hawaii and Mexico and Emerald Princess sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean this December, the rollout will continue aboard Coral Princess cruising the Panama Canal in January 2016 and then Sun Princess in April 2016, which will bring Chef Stone’s restaurant to his home country, Australia.
