We knew that it was only a matter of time when PlayStation Experience information would be released. During last year’s event, Shawn Layden introduced the event as the first event, indicating there are more to come. Today, Sony has finally revealed their plans for PlayStation Experience 2015.
PlayStation Blog has all the details for this year’s event. As previously suspected, the event is switching locations from Las Vegas, Nevada to San Francisco, California. With anything and everything PlayStation, attendees will get their hands on up-coming releases and take their seats at their conference. Another change that must be noted is that the event will now only be for those who are over the age of 18 and this will be enforced.
With the complaints of last year’s ticket prices, they decided to offer up an early bird special price that is discounted to $60, if ordered before September 20th. This price is good for the full two-day pass and is, of course, while supplies last. After September 20th, attendees can expect the regular price of $75 for the two-day pass, along with an option of a one-day pass available for both Saturday and Sunday. For those who want to pick up a pass for Saturday only, the ticket price will be $45, with Sunday being $40. Tickets are on sale now.
Street Fighter fans have something in store for them at PlayStation Experience. The Capcom Cup will be held at at the event this year as a one-day special event open to all attendees on Sunday, December 6th. PlayStation Blog details the Capcom Cup: “
As the final culmination of the 2015 Capcom Pro Tour, the official Street Fighter eSports league, the Capcom Cup will feature 32 of the world’s best players competing for the title of “Street Fighter World Champion” and a shot at the massive $250,000 prize pool.
Additionally, the Capcom Cup VIP Package is available for those who purchase a two-day or Sunday-only pass and want the ultimate Capcom Cup experience! Package includes:
- Premium front area seating at the event
- Capcom goodie bag
- Exclusive access to the Capcom Cup after party, hosted by Twitch and Showdown.gg
For more details on the Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup, be sure to check out their official website.”
PlayStation Experience 2015 will take place in Moscone West, San Francisco, CA on December 5th and 6th. With the various ticket price options listed above, the Capcom Cup VIP Package Add-on will be an additional $75. They recommend to use PlayStation IDs when registering for the event. We do not know the reasoning behind it, but it seems like they have something in store for those who do.
