October is always special for us as we can present products that are not only great things to buy and have, but help by contributing to breast cancer research and we here at Lifestyle Examiner are always down with that!
This year we received some products to review. First up is from Trudeau. Trudeau Corporation highly values and supports worldwide research efforts to find a cure for breast cancer and to date has donated over $450,000 from the sale of their “Pink” hydration bottles and thermal coffee and tea mugs to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! Their 2015 initiatives includes seven brand new Hydration Bottles and Thermal Mugs—each with a percentage of sales going to BCRF and with a minimum donation of $20,000 to fund a cure!
We have featured them previously as they have a great product line for the kitchen. Since we find ourselves in the car a lot, we decided to preview their Silver and Pink Lulu Travel Tumbler, 16 oz (470 ml). To begin there is a 5-year warranty on this product, it is BPA free, leak resistant, takes hot or cold and is doubled-walled. It is very cool looking with its brushed silver metal body, pink flowers design and the pink plastic screw-on cap. Cute. It seems to hold the liquid well—no leaks—and keeps it at a good temperature for quite a long time; we had it on our desk all day. The only con is when you flip the top back to access the hole, it is raised and hits on the bridge of our nose. There is no problem with that essentially, but it was a little surprising.
“If you are going to buy products, you might as well buy ones that help to support research you believe in.”
The other product we sampled is a beauty product from Duri.
“Wearing the color pink has become the universal expression of support for breast cancer, and what better way to wear that support than with a collection of powerful pink nail polish hues,” says Duri Cosmetics Founder and Head Chemist Faina Ritz. Ritz continues, “If football players can garner national headlines by wearing pink socks in October, women raising their hands and displaying nails painted in a great, emboldening pink hue can certainly garner greater and continued awareness.”
Andrea says: The colors are hot, the application is easy and perfectly done nails always make us feel pretty. If you are going to buy products, you might as well buy ones that help to support research you believe in.
