August is National Peach Month. Isn’t that peachy-keen? So in the spirit of the fruit, here are peachy cocktail recipes peach sangria, peach Margaritas and Daiquiri recipes. There’s one common ingredient you’re going to need and that’s DeKuyper Peachtree Schnapps. No other brand or peach-flavored alcohol will do. This is so fruity-licious you can taste the fuzz on the peach!
Peaches and Cream: There’s just something about the taste of peaches and cream, so fruity rich and decadent. To make this alcoholic drink, mix Peachtree Schnapps and Bailey’s Irish Cream. It’s perfect just like that. Or add grapefruit soda (Squirt), Minute Maid peach juice or little cream. You can also use vanilla liqueur if you prefer. Make a garnish with a peach slice, strawberry and lime wedge.
Mo’ Peachjita Please: Not gonna lie, the taste of lime and mint in a regular Mojito just doesn’t do it. It’s a weird combo. So skip the mint and blend Peachtree Schnapps, peach juice (or Hi-C), Rose’s Lime Juice and limeade. Add grapefruit soda for more tang. Ramp up the booze with a shot of gin, vodka or vermouth.
Peach Mimosa: Blend dry champagne or Asti Spumate (for a sweeter sparkling beverage) and Minute Maid Peach juice. Serve with a sliced peach and strawberry garnish. Kick it up with Peach Schnapps for more alcohol. Make a mimosa bar setting out chilled champagne, different fruit juices, and dishes of fruit, so guests can mix and match.
Peachierita. Wet and chill a Margarita glass. Salt the rim. Add Peachtree Schnapps, Jose Cuervo Especial Gold tequila or Golden Margarita, grapefruit soda or Minute Maid Peach juice and slushed strawberry Margarita mix. Garnish with peach and lime wedges. Don’t forget the umbrella. For New Orleans style peach daiquiris worthy of Fais Deaux Deaux, use the same ingredients but substitute Bacardi white rum for the tequila and lime daiquiri mix for the Margarita. Serve in a fish bowl!
Pina Peach-acolada. Blend pineapple juice, Malibu Coconut rum, coconut water and Peachtree Schapps. For a higher alcohol kick, add a shot of vodka. But this beverage is actually tastier and more refreshing without the extra booze.
Peachy White Sangria. This will make a pitcher or punch bowl of sangria. Slice and seed peaches, limes, lemons, grapefruit and tangerines, Soak in a bottle of Arbor Mist Peach Chardonnay. Or if you like a sweeter sangria, use Arbor Mist Peach Moscato. Add half a fifth of Dekuyper’s Peachtree Schapps, half a carton of raspberry lemonade (or Minute Maid peach harvest blend juice) and one liter of grapefruit soda (Squirt) or soda water (if it’s getting a little sweet), Freeze peach slices an ice ring to chill.
