New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will not be travelling to Denver to face the Broncos on Sunday night. The Patriots will have only two healthy wide receivers on the roster, Brandon laFell and Chris Harper.
The injury to Amendola is a string of injuries that Tom Brady has had to work around. Over the last three games, the Patriots lost; wide receivers, Keshawn Martin, Julian Edelman, Matthew Slater, Aaron Dobson and Amendola. The patriots also lost first year running back Dion Lewis for the season, with an ACL tear. New England has been able to continue its winning ways despite a patchwork offensive line, they have been playing with all season long.
The 5’11”, 190 lbs; Amendola’s right knee, was injured in the third quarter of New England’s victory Monday over the Buffalo Bills. WBZ-TV in Boston first reported that Amendola would not travel with the team. Amendola was a limited participant in practices Thursday and Friday. The Patriots listed him as questionable on their Friday injury report, but downgraded him to out on Saturday.
The Patriots (10-0) will also be without starting linebacker Jamie Collins and tight end Michael Williams against the (8-2) Denver Broncos.
