It was a heartbreaking moment as Kibbles realized his family was abandoning him at the San Bernardino County Animal Control on Tuesday. How sad of a testimonial to a callous owner as she jokingly tells volunteers how hard her little dog’s heart beat and how scared he was when she handed him over to a shelter employee. And her excuse for surrendering the adorable and extremely friendly two-year-old Maltese mix surely won’t be a surprise…Kibbles’ owner stated she had no time for the dog she adopted from a Pasadena rescue, but now she was just too busy to return him back to the organization. Instead, the heartless woman laughed as she surrendered the terrified little one to a high-kill busy California shelter.

A volunteer writes: “Kibbles is a friendly little guy…super scared in the shelter environment. The owner said Kibbles is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She also said he’s a lovable dog. Can you imagine how he’s feeling right now? It’s devastating to try to put yourself in his place and think of what he is going through.” Kibbles is adoption ready and can go home with his new family immediately.
