Amateur MMA promotion Odyssey Fights will return to Richmond, VA on November 7 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center and is available on pay-per-view. The event had been previously scheduled for sometime in October.
Amongst the fighters currently scheduled on the card is hometown fighter D’Juan “Dirty South” Owens. The 30-year-old featherweight originally from Durham, NC has a record of 11-9 with four KOs and three submissions to his name. He sat at the commentary table with Bubba Jenkins and Dustin Poirier.
Owens had won his previous three fights. However, he has dropped his previous two by unanimous decision to Alexander Matmuratov and Luis Felix respectively.
Other fighters scheduled to appear include Darnell “Strong Soul” Murphy (1-1), Michael “Mike” Lawrence (2-0) of the MMA Institute, JD Domengeaux (6-2), Anthony “Father Time” Horn (4-7), Jojo “The Phoenix” Springfield (1-1) and Joshua “Cobra” Brown (1-1). The top three fighters listed on the promotion’s website are Domengeaux, Lawrence and Murphy.
