Luxury cruise line Cunard unveiled new seven-night Europe and 9- to 12-night Mediterranean voyages on Queen Victoria’s 2016 itinerary, visiting ports in Northern Europe, Spain and Portugal’s coastal cities and the Mediterranean’s historic capitals.
In May 2016, the 1,980-guest Queen Victoria will set sail on a seven-night roundtrip voyage from Southampton to Norway’s coast and fjords. Later that month, it will sail again from Southampton on a roundtrip voyage to explore Spain and Portugal on a seven-night summer cruise. The ship will first reach Vigo, close to the famous pilgrimage site of Santiago de Compostela, and then continue to Lisbon, Oporto and Guernsey before returning home.
During summer and fall 2016, Queen Victoria will venture to the Mediterranean with several 9- to 12-night voyages. Many of the ship’s 2016 Mediterranean Voyages will feature overnight stays in Venice and Istanbul and offer a diverse selection of excursions ashore, including the opportunity to experience the open air opera in Verona.
“Queen Victoria’s 2016 voyages offer guests many opportunities to explore captivating ports in Europe and the Mediterranean in true Cunard style,” says Richard Meadows, president of Cunard North America. “These new voyages also distinguish Cunard as offering some of the broadest ranges of Mediterranean itineraries with durations ranging from seven to 21 nights. For 175 years, Cunard has seamlessly merged elegance with adventure, and we are proud to carry on that custom today.”
