Garth Brooks might be cursing at the stars and the fans wouldn’t be blaming him. The talented country singer has been diligently working on new music and all his efforts have been wiped out with a single piece of technology. According to Taste of Country on Tuesday, Garth Brooks lost all of his work after the cell phone he writes his lyrics on was ruined and the information still hasn’t been retrieved.
So what was on the cell phone that is so important? In addition to all the pictures of family and friends, the singer has been working on a new album and he has many compositions on the handheld device. Looking to work with his creativity while on the road, the phone seemed like a perfect choice until it stopped working. The new album was set to be released next year, but the device hasn’t been fixed and it’s unclear if the work Brooks saved on the phone can be restored. According to Yahoo Music on Tuesday, the country singer didn’t backup the work on the phone so a tech is currently helping to see if the work will be recovered.
The other Garth Brooks project which is in limbo is the Christmas album. Country music fans were expecting Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood to release a holiday album, but apparently it’s not finished yet. With a tough schedule and now a phone malfunction that ate some of his work, ultimately the couple might decide to push the album back a year so they can work on the project further.
