Parrotheads and coastal connoisseurs will soon have even more choices when it comes to island-inspired dining. The new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, which opens this summer on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk in Fort Lauderdale, has announced a few details about its new restaurant and bar concepts.
The new Margaritaville Beach Resort will feature eight food and beverage venues, which range from the original Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant to a coffee shop and several bar and grill type options.
“We look forward to welcoming resort guests and locals with a taste for the good life to a spectacular arrangement of diverse food and beverage venues at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. We are excited to feature a few classics that Margaritaville fans will know and love, while introducing unique new dining and entertainment destinations, as well,” said Cate Farmer, the resort’s general manager.
New dining venues at the new Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach, Florida
JWB Prime Steak and Seafood
Named for James William Buffett himself, JWB Prime Steak and Seafood is a completely new concept to the Margaritaville lineup. This 142-seat restaurant is fine dining with a laid-back attitude. The contemporary menu includes fresh seafood, Florida stone crab, spear-caught fish, specialty sushi rolls, a raw bar and prime steaks paired with world-class wines and hand-crafted cocktails. The venue will also offer space for small group gatherings.
Floridays Airstream Café
Named after Buffett’s 1986 album and song, the Floridays Airstream Café is a brand-new poolside dining option. An actual refurbished airstream trailer will feature a quick service menu of premium hot dogs, snacks and ice cold beverages that are inspired by Buffett’s own travels.
Tried and true favorites at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort
The one that started it all, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, will sail into its newest location with coastal-inspired dishes and cocktails. Live entertainment will be a key ingredient in this two-story escape that overlooks the resort’s pool and beach.
LandShark Bar & Grill
Great food, free-flowing drinks and old fashioned fun come together at the LandShark Bar & Grill. Inspired by the traditional beach bars of the Atlantic Coasts, guests can relax al fresco on the oceanfront deck while enjoying views of the Atlantic Ocean and watching guests take on the resort’s FlowRider Double.
License to Chill Bar
Located on the resort’s 11th floor rooftop terrace, the License to Chill Bar is a destination in itself. Food and beverages are served daily alongside a pool where guests can soak up the South Florida sun and gaze upon breathtaking views of Hollywood Beach. The License to Chill Bar is open to resort guests and private event attendees only. It will feature light fare that includes salads, wraps and a wine list.
Lone Palm Beach Bar
The Lone Palm Beach Bar takes the phrase “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem” to heart. This flip-flop friendly thatched roof tiki bar features walk-up Broadwalk service as well as poolside service for resort guests. Chow down on a Cheeseburger in Paradise, sip on a cocktail or choose from a variety of beers and house drinks.
5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill
The 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill is a casual indoor-outdoor dockside bar located on the Intracoastal Waterway. It will serve light fare, drinks and live entertainment. A waterfront beach with a cozy fire pit will host daily sunset rituals. This location will also serve as a Water Taxi stop and launch pad for paddle boarding excursions and other non-motorized watersports.
Margaritaville Coffee Shop
Guests can start their day with a cup or two of Margaritaville’s signature gourmet coffee at the Margaritaville Coffee Shop, which is located in the lobby of the resort. The menu includes breakfast essentials and grab-and-go items such as hot and cold beverages, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, pastries and more. Coffee choices include Pirate Gold Coffee (a dark roast blend) and License to Chill (a caffeine-free option). The coffee shop is a fairly new concept though it is currently in place at Margaritaville Atlantic City and Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge.
Overseeing culinary operations for Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, under the guidance of Director of Food and Beverage Tim Arnold, will be Executive Chef Andres Teran. A 15-year veteran of the culinary industry, Teran’s past experience includes The Alexander Hotel in Miami Beach, assisting with the successful launch of Shula’s Steakhouse, executive sous chef for Ocean Point Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles, executive chef at Morton’s Steakhouse in North Miami and the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.
