The long awaited 2015 NBAA Convention returns today to Las Vegas. We are looking for a new jet, and hoping to spend some time with Cessna’s portfolio of aircraft. Cessna is coming in strong with their new portfolio. The NBAA 2015 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition is present representation from over 26000 aviation contacts. They are here in Las Vegas this week, coming from around the world. You can download NBAA2015 Mobile App to get ready for the show. The NBAA2015 Mobile App will add to your event experience while in Las Vegas, and makes for a brilliant reference year around.
This year’s conference is providing “current and prospective business aircraft owners, manufacturers and customers into one meeting place to get critical work accomplished.”
Today we see the new Citation Longitude at Henderson. Cessna Textron is one of the premiere jet manufacturers and the most accommodating company. Textron Aviation is presenting its Cessna Citation Longitude, the company’s newest certified Citation super midsize business jet. According to the Textron Cessna newsroom, also Cessna is showing it’s the new Cessna Latitude, “which received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification in June, and is on track to achieve European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification by the end of the year.”
Also at the NBAA2015 Static display held at Henderson Executive field, Cessna Textron Aviation has set up the stars of their portfolio demonstrating their wide array of business jet classes. The 2015 Cessna Textron Aviation display of jets is the Citation M2, Citation CJ3+, Citation CJ4, Citation XLS+, Citation Latitude, Citation Sovereign+, Citation X+, and the Citation Longitude.
Cessna says the mid size Latitude boasts advanced avionics in an “unmatched cabin experience at this price point.” Latitude has a 6 foot 4 inch wide cabin loaded with the smartest accouterments. Passengers can be connected to the aircrafts new entertainment “state-of-the-art Clairity® cabin technology system.” You access in-cabin Internet and entertainment on your personal mobile devices, or use the seat mounted touch screen monitors. And with a ‘no-crouch’ 21 foot long, 6 feet of standing height assures comfort throughout; amazing in this jet class and price. “The Latitude’s standard seating arrangement features a double side-facing couch for additional, more relaxed passenger space. The left-hand refreshment center and bar is well appointed to meet your beverage and catering needs.”
The Cessna Latitude and Longitudes ergonomically designed seats and interiors prove to be a beneficial blend for comfort, equipment options and operating and maintenance costs. Well Done Cessna!
With its beginning in textiles, Textron began in 1923 as a small textile company called Special Yarns Company, which ultimately grew to become the worlds first conglomerate by 1952. The name “Textron” was derived around WWII, taking “tex” from the word “textiles”, and “tron’ from the synthetic “Lustron.” Today, Textron Inc. is an $11 billion multi-industry company operating in 32 countries with approximately 40,000 employees. Diversity was the vision of founder Roy Little’s ability to harbinger the demands of the ever-changing customer, markets, supplier and world business environments. In my estimate, Textron works very hard on having outstanding processes in place, for example, investing for growth, driving operational excellence, and leveraging e-business.
Textron launched its Six Sigma initiative in 2002. Textron’s success with Textron Six Sigma has come about largely because of its people, the management and workforce. Like any new initiative, there was pushback at the onset, but as Textron Six Sigma gained traction, and employees became trained, the desired results came to fruition. The Aviation segment is the big beneficiary of these total quality processes Textron has brought to aviation, as well as the turf and golf industries.
Textron Inc. is a multi-industry company that leverages its global network of aircraft, defense, industrial and finance businesses to provide customers with innovative solutions and services. Textron is known around the world for its powerful brands such as Bell Helicopter, Cessna, Beechcraft, Hawker, Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, E-Z-GO, Greenlee, Textron Systems, and TRU Simulation + Training.”
We are looking forward to this exciting event.
