The 2015 Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race is taking place this week on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the Michigan International Speedway located in Brooklyn, Michigan, with a race time of 2:30 pm EDT. Here is a list of the NASCAR drivers betting odds to win the 2015 Pure Michigan 400.
In addition to the drivers betting odds to win this week, I’m also listing how many times each driver has won this season and how many times each driver has won this race and over the Michigan International Speedway track. I’ve also listed the stats for many of the drivers on the list. Good luck to all the NASCAR drivers and especially the bettors this week at the Pure Michigan 400!
1. Kevin Harvick – 9/2 odds
After a week or two off, Kevin Harvick is back to being the NASCAR betting favorite to win this week in the Pure Michigan 400 at odds of 9/2. Kevin Harvick has two NASCAR Sprint Cup wins this season which came at Las Vegas and Phoenix and both wins were back in March. Kevin Harvick won this race in 2010 for his only Sprint Cup win over the Michigan International Speedway track.
2. Kyle Busch – 7 to 1
After ripping off three consecutive wins and winning in four out of five weeks, Kyle Busch has now gone two weeks without a win. Over his great stretch Kyle Busch won races at Sonoma, Kentucky, New Hampshire and The Brickyard for four wins on the season. Kyle Busch won this race in 2011 for his only Sprint Cup win over the Michigan International Speedway track to date.
T-3. Joey Logano – 8 to 1
Joey Logano’s win at Watkins Glen last week was his second win on the season as he previously won the Daytona 500 back in February. I’m not liking his chances to win again this week especially at just 8 to 1 odds but Joey Logano did win this race in 2013 for his only Sprint Cup win over the Michigan International Speedway track.
T-3. Jimmie Johnson – 8 to 1
Jimmie Johnson has wins this season at Atlanta, Texas, Kansas City and Dover. His last win was at Dover at the end of May and he’s probably due to win another race again pretty soon. It might not be this week, though, as Jimmie Johnson has never won this race and he has just one win over the Michigan track which came in 2013.
T-3. Brad Keselowski – 8 to 1
Brad Keselowski’s lone win this season came back in March in California. Keselowski is looking for his first NASCAR Sprint Cup win at Michigan. For his NASCAR Sprint Cup career, Brad Keselowski has won 17 times in 219 starts. Since 2011, Brad Keselowski has won 16 times in 166 starts or almost 10% of the time.
T-3. Kurt Busch – 8 to 1
Kurt Busch has wins this season at Richmond and he won the spring race at Michigan back in June. Can he pull off a double at the Michigan International Speedway this week by winning the 2015 Pure Michigan 400? Kurt Busch won this race in 2007, and he also won the spring race here in 2003 so he has three career wins over the track.
T-3. Martin Truex, Jr. – 8 to 1
Martin Truex, Jr. has one win this season which came at Pocono back in early June. Truex, Jr. has never won a NASCAR Sprint Cup race over the Michigan track. For his career, Martin Truex, Jr. has only won three races in 355 starts and he’s yet to win more than one race in a season.
T-3. Matt Kenseth – 8 to 1
Matt Kenseth has wins in 2015 at Bristol and Pocono. Kenseth won this race back 2006 and he also won the early race at Michigan back in 2002 for two wins over the track. For his career, Matt Kenseth has 33 wins in 566 Sprint Cup starts.
9. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. – 12 to 1
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has wins this season at Talladega and Daytona. Junior has yet to win this race but he does have two wins over the track (2008, 2012). For his NASCAR Sprint Cup career, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has won 25 times in 563 starts.
10. Carl Edwards – 15 to 1
Carl Edwards lone Sprint Cup win this season came back in May at Charlotte. Edwards won this race back in 2008 and he also won the spring race here in 2007 for two career wins over the Michigan track. For his career, Carl Edwards has won 24 times in 395 starts.
T-11. Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon – 18 to 1 odds each
Denny Hamlin has yet to win this race but he has two wins over the track. Hamlin has wins this season at Martinsville and he won the NASCAR All-Star Race. For his career, Hamlin has won 25 races in 348 starts. Jeff Gordon is still looking for a win in his final NASCAR season. Gordon is the defending champion for this race and he also won it 1998. He has three total wins over the track. Jeff Gordon’s career stats are 92 wins in 783 starts.
13. Kasey Kahne – 25 to 1
Kasey Kahne is still looking for his first NASCAR Sprint Cup win in the 2015 season. Kasey Kahne has yet to win this race but he did win over the Michigan track back in 2006. For his career, Kasey Kahne has 17 wins in 418 starts.
14. Kyle Larson – 30 to 1
Kyle Larson is also looking for his first win in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season and the first win of his career. Obviously, Karl Larson has yet to win over the Michigan International Speedway track in Brooklyn, Michigan (fuhgeddaboudit!). Brooklyn, Michigan is located about 40 miles southwest of Ann Arbor where the University of Michigan is. Kyle Larson has started 61 Sprint Cup races.
T-15. Jamie McMurray, Paul Menard – 60 to 1
Neither of these two NASCAR drivers at 60 to 1 odds each this week have won a race this season. Neither has ever won a Sprint Cup race at Michigan either. Jamie McMurray has just seven wins in 460 starts and has not won since 2013. Paul Menard only has one win which came in 2011 in 313 starts.
17. Tony Stewart – 75 to 1
After what had to be a rough week last week at Watkins Glen, Tony Stewart is 75 to 1 odds to win this week at Michigan. Stewart has no wins this season and he’s never won this race but he does have one win over the track (2000). For his career, Tony Stewart now has 48 wins in 576 starts. His last win was in 2013.
T-18. A.J. Allmendinger, Aric Almirola, Austin Dillon, Casey Mears, Clint Bowyer, Danica Patrick, David Ragan, Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Ryan Blaney, Ryan Newman, Trevor Bayne – 100 to 1
Only Greg Biffle, who won the Sprint Showdown in May, has anything resembling a win this season on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit out of these 12 drivers all at 100 to 1 odds each this week. Biffle has two wins in this race (2004, 2012) and four wins over the track (2005, 2013). Ryan Newman won this race in 2003 and he has two wins (2004) over the track. The rest of these drivers have never won a Sprint Cup race at Michigan. At least Danica Patrick is hot.
- Field of all other drivers – 100 to 1 odds
