What happens when a group of bloggers board a yacht in Miami? Why talk fashion and beauty, of course! Held in the Magic City, departing from Sea Isle Marina, MyHabit.com commemorated the final leg of their Shop by City summer road trip by celebrating with local bloggers on August 20.
The sunset cruise was hosted by Ria Michelle of RiaMichelle.com, who chatted about the significance of MyHabit.com’s curated collections for local shoppers. “It’s really cool that Miami was chosen as one of the cities where consumers can get super fast delivery,” shared Ria Michelle. “And the fact that MyHabit.com has the perfect combination of designer brands at affordable prices makes it perfect for Miami’s fashion scene. Miami, at its heart, is a mixture of high and low fashion.”
If you haven’t paid a visit to MyHabit.com, your credit card is begging for it. The flash sale site offers an impressive inventory of luxury goods that encompasses fashion for men, women and children and home décor at 60 percent off its retail price. You’ll find fashion brands such as Thakoon, Celine, Valentino and Rebecca Minkoff. MyHabit.com also carries a wide variety of beauty products for your feminine needs. Other bloggers were just as excited as Ria Michelle when discussing MyHabit.com’s presence in Miami. “It’s going to be a revolution,” said Daniela Morgenstern of DaniRulis.com. “To think that you can order a dress or your favorite pair of shoes from your home and it will be delivered within one hour is unbelievable.” Kelly Saks who helms KellysKlosetBlog.com was more impressed by MyHabit.com’s relationship building skills. “I think whenever a retailer chooses to curate a collection or line by a specific city it makes the shopping experience a bit more sincere for the customer,” said Saks in-between bites of hors d’oeuvres. The petite blogger commended MyHabit.com for making a concerted effort to cater to Miami’s fashionistas, a group she says is influenced more by climate and Latin culture. “Fashion here is different than anywhere else in the world because we live in a season-less environment,” said Saks. “We have summer year round so often shoppers are more concerned about textiles and fabrics as opposed to trends.” Lauren Ashley Patel of AFashionistasDiary.com had a different perspective on MyHabit.com. “Women in Miami always want to know what’s trending when it comes to fashion,” said Patel. “Luckily, MyHabit.com does the work for you. It lets you be ahead of the game with its curated pieces.” Amanda Tur of AFancyAffair.com felt the site brought a long-needed break to her wallet. “When you start adding up what bloggers buy for content purposes, it adds up,” said Tur. “So anything you can get at a discounted rate—such as Tory Burch, Ray Ban sunnies or a Celine bag—is excellent.”
According to Nicole Boucher, director of editorial content for MyHabit.com, the company, which is a subsidiary of Amazon.com, creates its city-specific curations through strategic collaborations with external partners like bloggers and local chefs. “MyHabit.com is all about outfitting your lifestyle,” said Boucher. “We have a huge breadth of products that we have but we wanted to add a story to it. You get that excitement of discovery through MyHabit.com because we’re always on the hunt for whatever’s on the cutting edge.” Case-in-point, MyHabit.com’s most recent collaboration is with Ms. Cheezious, the popular food truck that specializes in creating artisanal grilled cheese sandwiches. In the past, the site has done partnerships with Cynthia Rowley and Momofuku Milk Bar.
Jason, an avid shopper who also happens to work for MyHabit.com is more impressed with the site’s fast shipping. “MyHabit.com is so different from other flash sale sites,” said Jason. “Aside from our amazing breadth of products and consistently ranking as number one in customer service our shorter shipping time is incomparable.” And if you’re still unsure about shopping at MyHabit.com, Jason summarized it as followed: “What you love about Amazon.com you’ll love about MyHabit.com because essentially MyHabit.com is Amazon.com.”
Other bloggers in attendance included Lynsee Hee Kyeong of StyleByLynsee.com, Ginger Harris of ElectricBlogarella.com, Amanda DeLuca of CaptureFashion.com and Kristin Michelle Brophy of TheFancyThings.com.
