AMC Tysons Corner 16 is located on the third floor of the gargantuan Tysons Corner shopping mall. The closest metro station is Tysons Corner on the silver line.
The theater has a nice retro feel with many movie posters and designs of classic films (Psycho, E.T.) in the hallways. Upon entering the theater, the concession area is directly ahead with two rows of theaters to the left and right. The area is brightly lit.
There is a food court directly next to the opening of the theater. Other more fancier options include:

Normal concession food is offered including popcorn, nachos, pretzels, hot dogs, mozzarella sticks and iccees. There are soda fountain machines with dozens of different varieties.
There is plenty of leg room and the seats are comfy. The temperature can be a bit too warm at times if the theater is crowded. Seating is reserved so you can secure some of the better seats if tickets are bought online or early at the box office.
There is also an IMAX theater.
Tysons Corner is one of the busiest malls in the country and leads to larger crowds, especially on the weekend. Theaters are quick to sell out. However, with the ability to purchase tickets in advance and choose your own seats days ahead of time, the process is much easier to handle if you plan ahead.
Diversity of showings:
The most high-profile films are shown here. Big-budget Hollywood action, horror and teen drama films are the big draws, though with 16 screens, an occasional indie film may make it.
AMC offers the AMC Stubs Card membership for $12 annually. For every $100 spent at AMC theaters, you are rewarded $10. It also includes free upgrades on soft drinks and popcorn.

There is not a lot of historical significance, but the theater is growing very popular and should be up and running for awhile.
With its mall location and popularity, it’d be easy for AMC Tysons Corner 16 to be overwhelming and unmanageable, but it manages to stay an enjoyable experience due to its smart and quick staff and its reserved seating ability. The reserved seating, for those quick enough and knowledgeable enough to utilize it, allows anyone to buy their ticket days in advance, enjoy the mall and the restaurants at leisure and go to their movie without fear of their showing selling out or not having a good seat. It really makes the Tysons Corner experience fulfilling.
