He is open, and down to earth with his fans. Yes he is charging for autographs and pictures he is not raping people with outrageous prices and people appreciate that. He is filming a movie for Amazon in New York called “Mozart’s in the Jungle”
Guys will like Danielle Harris, who could not have been nicer to her fans if she tried. She is best known for her work in the Rob Zombie Halloween movies. The line for her was 90percent male. I wonder why. Another hottie who is there for all three days is Rachel True, who is best known for her work in The Craft. “I am from New York, she said , I am familiar with the area”, she said , but still, this is her first convention locally, “I did one in Dallas (Texas Frightmare) which was a lot of fun” She has a lot in store for her here. “‘Ive been told the fans are super hardcore here ” True replied. The Craft has it’s anniversary coming up next year, but also fans are interested in “Half Baked” which was a stoner comedy she was in.
George Wilbur who was Michael Myers in some of the Halloween movies is there and he is full of conversation. Prior to the show, he was walking around the vendors and stopped at Scotties Collectibles on the selling floor and chatted up the owner about Michael Myers’s Masks. This place has great masks for Halloween but they are a bit more than the dime store version. It’s not all horror there is George Wendt, best known as “Norm” from Cheers” . Currently, he is on “Clips” which is on CBS Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. “I did 12 Angry men, locally here before but this is my first Monster Mania Convention I am here all weekend”, Wendt said. His credits are so diverse, he even played Fat Sam in Fletch.
Females will be glad that Skeet Ulrich is there , he is signing autographs for his fans right next to Rachel True. The line for him was 75 percent female. Rock fans will be glad they came as Dave Ellefson from Megadeth is going to be there. A White Zombie reunion is taking place with Sean Yseult, J. Yuenger and John Tempesta all in a row ready to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Rounding out the biggest celebs there are Mitch Pileggi, and Denis O’Hare , There is a triple threat Adrian Ali Turner, Seth Gilliam and Ross Marquand from the Walking Dead. are within walking distance of each other. Kane Hodder, who looks like he could rip you in half but is super nice to his fans, Gerrit Graham from Martians Go Home has a spot on the main floor as well. .
