Berlin Fashion Week takes place from July 6 – July10, 2015 and attracts both German and international fashion enthusiasts. The Spring / Summer program is robust and enables Fashion Week attendees to experience shows and events showcasing luxury fashion, Wearable IT, green fashions and more. During the week, more than 70 fashion shows will take place and with over 200,000 visitors coming to Berlin, making the occasion one of the most important fashion weeks worldwide. Throughout the week, labels such as: Bobby Kolade, Kaviar Gauche, Dorothee Schumacher and Dawid Tomaszewski present their Spring / Summer collections 2016. Mercedes Benz Fashion Week comes to an end with the infamous Mercedes-Benz & VOGUE Fashion Night event. The Mercedes-Benz & Vogue Fashion Night takes place at Borchart and brings together the who’s who in fashion.
The fashion industry is transforming as technology begins to enhance both presentation as well as designs. The content for this edition of Berlin Fashion Week places strong emphasis on fashion technology. Marina Hoermanseder is a French-Austrian designer, whose designs are bold, sophisticated and eccentric. She interned with Alexander McQueen and debuted her first collection in 2014 during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin and the Fashion Scout in London. Hoermanseder’s collection unites fetish elements with flowing fabrics and other elements. According to the designer, her utilization of leather straps and buckles creates an interplay between the avant- garde and ready to wear with her own particular extravagant aesthetic.
