An attorney for 16-year-old Meadow Walker has filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the minor for the 2013 death of her father Paul Walker. According to The Washington Post, the lawsuit claims that Porsche knew that the Carrera GT that Walker was riding in “lacked safety features that are found on well-designed racing cars or even Porsche’s least expensive road cars — features that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash.”
The lawsuit continues to say that had the vehicle Paul was traveling in had these safety features, Paul Walker would be alive today. Paul Walker died on November 30, 2013 when he was riding in a friend’s Porsche and the vehicle crashed into a pole, bursting into flames.
Porsche or Meadow Walker have not commented on the lawsuit. The amount of damages has not been disclosed at this time. More details about this case will be forthcoming.
