According to the Canadian Football League on Wednesday, Calgary Stampeders wide receiver Marquay McDaniel of Virginia Beach, Virginia was named the Canadian Football League’s second best performer for week 14 of the 2015 CFL regular season. McDaniel had nine catches for 159 yards in the Stampeders 25-23 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers this past Friday.
With the outstanding game against the Blue Bombers, McDaniel is now third in the CFL in receiving yards with 815. McDaniel’s teammate Eric Rogers currently leads the CFL with 1124 yards with S.J. Green of the Montreal Alouettes in second place with 823 yards.
The first star of week 14 was Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive back Macho Harris. The third star of week 14 was Edmonton Eskimos wide receiver Derel Walker.
Harris had a remarkable three interceptions and one interception return for a touchdown in the Roughriders’ 33-21 win over the Montreal Alouettes. Walker, who was the CFL top performer for the month of August, had eight catches for 121 yards as the Eskimos came from behind to beat the British Columbia Lions 29-23. Walker seems to be building chemistry with Mike Reilly after being the Eskimos top receiver while James Franklin was the starting quarterback during the summer.
