Maverick Helicopters unveiled its new $5 million Las Vegas terminal with an amazing grand opening celebration to reveal the state-of-the-art facility that will open to the public next week, Nov 30. The award-winning division of Maverick Aviation Group treated guests with a flight over the Las Vegas Strip for a birds eye view of all the action Las Vegas has to offer. Guests took photos in front of the company’s Airbus EC130 ECO-Star helicopter along with a tour of the Airlines’ fixed-winged aircraft, hors d’oeuvres and desserts from Cut and Taste with a side of specialty cocktails specially mixed by Belvedere Vodka.
Attendees for the grand opening event include headliner Carrot Top, Master Photographer Peter Lik and representatives from the offices of Governor Brian Sandoval, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Senator Dean Heller, Senator Harry Reid, Congressman Cresent Hardy, Congressman Joe Heck, Congresswoman Dina Titus and the Clark County Government Center.
“We broke ground on the project approximately one year ago, and this opening represents a big milestone for Maverick Helicopters,” said John Buch, President of Maverick Aviation Group. “This year has been one of our best yet – from opening our fifth location in Maui to now unveiling one of the most elaborate helicopter terminals in the world, we couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who has helped us get to where we are today.”
On behalf of their association and to congratulate Maverick Helicopters on opening its new Las Vegas terminal was Steve Sisolak, the Clark County Commission Chairman, Michael Goldsmith, the Vice President of International Marketing at Las Vegas Convention and Visitor Authority; Todd Powers, the Western Regional Sales Manager at Airbus Helicopters; and Russ Spray. Sisolak also presented the company’s owner, Greg and Brenda Rochna with a proclamation from Clark County, declaring Thursday, November 19, 2015 as “Maverick Helicopter Day.”
Guests were surprised by a helicopter arrival and 30 minute performance of classic hits by Las Vegas Strip headliner Matt Goss. Maverick Helicopters’ new terminal is adjacent to the existing building, but renovation plans are on the way to add an additional 6,000 square feet and feature a floor to ceiling windows that overlook McCarran International Airport’s runway, private VIP and group rooms, a café, and signature registration desk. The gift shop expands to branded items, handmade Native America artifacts and more with a separate photo and video desk with a large courtyard for passengers to lounge on modern plush leather couches while they wait for photos and videos from their flight.
