This past Saturday, Netflix released a humorous teaser for the upcoming Marvel series Jessica Jones. While we can’t see the actress in the teaser, we know that it’ll be Krysten Ritter who stars as the titular character. The story revolves around her character trying to settle on a new career as a New York City detective because she failed as a superhero.
In addition to Krysten Ritter, the series also includes David Tennant, Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval. Melissa Rosenberg, Liz Friedman, and Jeph Loeb, who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television, are attached as executive producers of the series.
Jessica Jones marks the second of four Marvel Entertainment projects for Netflix. The first was Daredevil. Since Jessica Jones is living in New York City, perhaps we’ll see a small crossover between the the two characters.
The series will officially debut on November 20 at 12:01AM but the cast of the series will be attending the New York Comic Con in two weeks. We might find out more about the series then.
