One can tell easily enough that Hillary Clinton is in deep trouble with regard to her bid to become the Democratic nominee for president. The telltale sign is that the mainstream media, which has consistently treated Clinton as the darling of political correctness, is now engaging in serious journalism when it comes to reporting news both good and bad on the one who has long been considered the queen of America who is merely waiting her turn to occupy the Oval Office.
Granted, the progressives and the mainstream media may well rally to her side in the end. But as for now, the voices of the progressive movement, including the mainstream media, the Democratic party, and others are daring to question Hillary’s fitness for office. Politico, CBS News, NBC News, the Washington Post and others have reported major news stories concerning Hillary, Benghazi, Syria, Iran — none of which portray Hillary in a positive light.
Indeed, a recent Hillary news conference became so volatile that the candidate was forced to draw to a quick close to the meeting with reporters when a group from Black Lives Matter heckled her into silence. Hillary is not accustomed to these confrontations, at least not when they are prompted by progressives or collective activists. Historically she has been considered a friend and advocate for these groups. This has apparently changed — at least for now.
Things have disintegrated for Hillary so thoroughly that Politico now says that the candidate must answer at least 10 questions or else she will fall into the political abyss from which she will never recover. These questions include, did Hillary or anyone else at the State Dept. break the law? Can the emails or other material that has been wiped from her personal server be retrieved? Why did Hillary wait until the last minute before the court ordered deadline to turn over all of her emails to the court? How sensitive were the classified emails found on Hillary’s private server? Is it true that Hillary never sent or received classified material on her personal server as she claims?
Further, the federal judge who is handling the Hillary case has changed the hearing date so that these matters can be decided expeditiously. Judge Emmett Sullivan of the D.C. Court of Appeals has become so frustrated by the constant footdragging of Hillary and the State Dept that a hearing scheduled for late September was moved forward to today — Thursday, Aug 20, 2015. A written report from the State Dept to the court was due today Aug 19.
