Future specifications for mackerel, squid and butterfish will be addressed at an upcoming webinar. The Mackerel-Squid-Butterfish Monitoring Committee of the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration at the United States Department of Commerce plans an Internet meeting on the matter. The council announced the event in the Federal Register of Thursday, May 7, 2015.
The webinar begins at Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The meeting is scheduled to end at 2 p.m. The public is welcome to listen in. Or you can attend in person at the council office at 800 N. State St., Suite 201, Dover, DE 19901; (302) 674-2331.

The committee will discuss what specifications to recommend for the three species and related management measures. It will also take questions and comments from the public. The council will meet in June to decide the specifications for 2016 and will consider what the committee suggests.
