Imagine combining two bucket list cruises into one mega-voyage and adding in a unique land tour as well. That’s what luxury expedition cruise line Silversea is doing with Grand Expeditions, a series of five, multi-faceted cruises that let guests experience unique land and sea journeys while sailing aboard two of its expedition ships starting in October.
The combination cruises, ranging from 18 to 34 days, will begin with an expedition cruise in the Galapágos Islands aboard Silver Galapagos before connecting to a land adventure, and finally ending with a second expedition cruise on Silver Explorer, along the coast of Central America, South America, or Antarctica.
The all-inclusive Grand Expeditions packages are priced at 20 percent off the published fare for each individual cruise. (Click here to see fares.) Fares cover all beverages, including wines and spirits, and gratuities onboard both ships. Also featured in the package are hotel accommodations, land tours, return air travel between Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands, intra-tour air travel and ground transportation, as well as charter flights to Ushuaia, if applicable.
“Our Grand Expeditions offer a unique blend of overland adventure combined with two amazing expedition cruise experiences — all expertly curated by our destination experts,” says Kristian Anderson, Silversea’s senior vice president and general manager for the Americas.
