As the ‘Road to Rio’, the march towards Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the 2016 Olympic Games continues, AIBA pushes onward with their latest announcement of Mr. William Louis-Marie the new AIBA PR & Communications Director.
A definite big-hitter, Mr. Louis-Marie has an extensive background in world-class and sport communications, media relations and promotions, having previously held the position of Senior Vice-President of Trace TV, managing the launch of Trace Sports, Communications Director for the Baku 2015 European Games, the 1996 Olympic Games and the 1998 FIFA World Cup as Communications Manager for Coca-Cola France.
“I am thrilled to join AIBA and contribute to the development of boxing under the vision of the AIBA President, Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu”, began Louis-Marie. “The noble art is gaining massive attraction all over the world and the coming months will reinforce boxing’s amazing appeal with numerous high-profile continental events and the AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015 leading up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games”.
There will be a Memorial Service held Sunday, May 31, 2015, from 4-6PM at Delgado’s Gym, 2333 Delgany St. in Denver, a ‘Celebration of Life’ in memory of Boxer/Coach David Chandler, who passed away May 6th.

New Generations Fight Promotions (Rick Lopez, Sr., Devin Lopez and Rick Lopez, Jr.) have scheduled their next fight card for Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Mile High Station, 2027 Old West Colfax (720-946-7721), located right next to Sports Authority Field.
Up and coming local stars on the card includes in the main event, super lightweight Manuel ‘Manny Lo’ Lopez (8-1, 5KO’s), with featherweight Ricky Lopez, Jr. (13-4, 5KO’s) in the co-main event, both in bouts scheduled for 8 rounds, opponents yet to be signed.
Undefeated featherweight David Escamilla (7-0, 5KO’s), super middleweight Izaac Cardona (12-2, 12 KO’s), super welterweight Juan ‘Chago’ Santiago (15-12-2, 9KO’s), super welterweight ‘Bad’ Brad Jackson (15-10-1, 7KO’s) and making his pro-debut, super featherweight Devin Lopez, all making for an attractive undercard that has yet to be completed.
