With only four places to get food, besides inn room dining, you are limited on where you can eat on-property while staying at Disney’s Vero Bach Resort. Generally this is not an issue, because the restaurants at the resort are excellent. However, if you are staying longer than a weekend, you may want to explore the area to find and try some other dining options.
The restaurants at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort include Shutters, Sonya’s, The Green Cabin Room, Bleachers Bar and Grill (poolside) and of course, Inn Room Dining. All of these options are excellent choices and it is highly recommend dining at each one during your stay. If you are looking for additional dining options you will have to go off-property to find them.
Going somewhere else for dinner could be a challenge of its own, especially if you do not have a car with you. Because of this, it is highly recommend you drive to the resort for your vacation getaway. Those flying into the area should consider renting a car. This is mainly because DVBR does not offer shuttle services to and from area attractions and taxis can get pricey. But that is another story, for another day.
When trying to select a restaurant, guest services will offer you a list of local restaurants and the different menu options they offer. However, it might be difficult to get a recommendation, because many who have visited this resort have said that they were only handed a book of local menus. Then upon asking for a recommendation, they were told they could not offer recommendations because they did not want to be responsible for a guest going to a restaurant and having a bad experience.
With so many restaurants in the area, it is possible to find the one that fits your taste preferences. Several visitors to the area have mentioned that they have yet to have a bad experience at a local restaurant. If you are looking for a recommendation for a local restaurant to go to, it might be best to ask some of the locals. Stop by a local shop or go to the beach and stop a local to see what they have to say.
With many more upcoming vacations planned and more time available to explore the area, there will be plenty of reviews coming focused on the restaurants in the Vero Beach and surrounding areas. So keep those eyes open and see which restaurants are worth going to and which ones to stay away from. If you have a specific restaurant you would like a review on, send us a message and we would be happy to bump that location to the top of our list.
