This yearly effort proves very popular with LC.com visitors who wholeheartly send in their do-it-yourself get ups for fame in Lauren’s social space.
Last year, there were paper dolls, big birds, and mermaids gracing Lauren and her editors who still cannot believe how creative their readers can get when dressing up. From there, one can send over their very unique costumes over to Lauren where one will be judged on their originality and technical which Lauren says to keep simple. And don’t forget to write up a tutorial about your costume, Lauren’s people need to know how such a jawdropping costume was conceived, and that it’s you in the costume.
Every Friday in October, Lauren will share her favorite do-it-yourself costumes submitted by folks as Chic of the Week takes a break. Though it may be too soon to submit a costume to Lauren since the contest was just announced, Lauren will gladly accept creations done last year.
