While Caitlyn’s transition has made her a hero in the eyes of many folks, it looks like Khloe Kardashian isn’t willing to go that far. The Kardashian sister who has never had a problem speaking her mind tells Caitlyn on this coming Sunday night’s episode of “I am Cait” a few things that seemed hard for Caitlyn to hear.
Khloe told Caitlyn she has “two young daughters who are greatly affected” by her transition, Kylie and Kendall. She also tells the woman that she has known as a step-father for 22 years that she need not drag her mother through the mud while embarking on her new journey.
E Online reports on August 13 that this Sunday night’s episode is the first time the public will get to see Caitlyn and Khloe together since Caitlyn made her transition. Text messages that Khloe had sent to Caitlyn were considered “tough texts” by Caitlyn who started the conversation off telling her step-daughter this.
Khloe said that Kim had read the text messages and she didn’t see them as tough. Khloe saw them as conveying the way the family is feeling. Khloe lets Caitlyn know in so many words that while she’s found compassion during her transition, she might need to practice that with the family members still finding their way through all of this.
Khloe also said, “I just said ‘We don’t care what you’re doing.’ Meaning we don’t care if you want to transition. We want to support you and be there for you.” The youngest Kardashian sister then added, “But, we don’t think that that entails you speaking negatively about my mom [Kris Jenner]. In our opinion, you don’t even need to mention my mom…let’s not drag my mom through the mud.”
Last month Hollywood Life reported that Khloe still refers to Caitlyn as Bruce and that this transition has been an adjustment for the entire family. It has not been easy to wipe Bruce out of their lives after he has spent 22 years as their parent.
According to ABC News, once Khloe finishes up with Caitlyn on “I am Cait” Kim explains to Caitlyn where Khloe and possibly the rest of the family are coming from when asking her to leave their mom out of the conversation. Kim told Caitlyn that her statement about her mother was “the most unfair thing in the world to say.” She was referring to Caitlyn publicly claiming that “Had Kris been accepting to who I am, we still would be together,” Caitlyn was quick to say that she didn’t mean it as hurtful and Kim was quick to say regardless on how Caitlyn meant this statement, her mom was hurt over it.
Kris Jenner has handled Caitlyn’s transition with class and she has not said much of anything about her ex-husband’s major life change until a recent interview. Kris said, “I just want everyone that I love in my family and in my life to be happy, and so my wish for Caitlyn is that she finds her joy.”
