Khloe Kardashian is fitter than ever after her 35-pound weight loss with a dairy-free diet and rigorous workouts. Despite getting raves for her sexy Complex magazine photo spread, Khloe has always joked about being the “fat funny” Kardashian sister to head off other people’s jokes about her weight.
“I never looked at myself as the fat sister,” Khloe told Complex. “Sometimes I would beat people to the punch and say, ‘I’m the fat funny one,’ because that’s what people would say about me.”
The curvy 5-foot-10 Khloe, who was once called “Sasquatch,” “Big Foot” and “ugly sister” by bullies, said she feels fantastic after her weight loss and credits rigorous exercise for making her look and feel her best. Kardashian no longer tries to follow extreme starvation diets after having tried so many fad diets in the past.
“I’ve been working out for a year and a half straight,” said Kardashian. “I’m not a big dieter, but I’m finally getting the body that I’ve been working out for. I’m not trying to lose 10 pounds in ten days. I’ve done crazy cleanses, I’ve done sh*t in the past but it never stayed.”
Khloe works out several days a week with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson lifting weights, doing cardio exercise and lots of squats. Kardashian said her weight loss secrets (aside from working out) is waist training and a dairy-free diet, Celebrity Health & Fitness reported.
Kardashian says exercise has dramatically boosted her self-confidence. “I’m not working out to still be cute,” said Khloe. “I’ve never felt as comfortable in my own skin as now.”
Denies Liposuction and Other Plastic Surgery
Despite looking better than ever, Khloe was nervous before her racy photo shoot because she was insecure about her body. Older sister Kim (who has done countless sexy photo spreads and posed nude many times) pushed her to get over her self-consciousness.
“Kim was like, “Get the f*ck over it, you’re in the prime of your life,'” Khloe recounted. “Looking at the photos later I was like, ‘They look good.’ But I don’t know if I’m going to be on a beach like that. I’m still going to be in a one-piece.”
Khloe has repeatedly denied getting extensive liposuction on her waist, stomach and legs. In a heated Twitter rant, Khloe slammed reports claiming her true weight loss secret was liposuction plastic surgery.
“I find it disgusting but maybe a compliment that I’m being accused of getting lipo done. I work out 5 days a week. I bust my *ss!” Kardashian tweeted. “I’m assuming if I’ve had any sort of surgery I would need 6-8 weeks off of any intense workout.”
Actually, plastic surgery experts say most people can resume their workout routines a few days after getting liposuction. While a celebrity getting plastic surgery is hardly shocking, Khloe has adamantly insisted her weight loss was entirely due to diet and exercise, not liposuction or other cosmetic surgery after tabloids reported she got “serious liposuction on waistline, tummy and legs.”
On a recent episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Khloe was filmed getting laser treatment to zap the cellulite off her butt and thighs. While Khloe regularly gets laser treatment, she said the rest of her body is natural and has not been enhanced by plastic surgery.
