The Kentucky vs. Albany live TV and streaming online game will be a part of the 2015 NCAA Hall of Fame Basketball Classic, with the matchup set to tip off on Friday night. This will launch the Wildcats’ latest campaign as they attempt to win a National Title in college basketball after falling short last year in the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament. Coach John Calipari will have yet another talented squad to coach and will try to guide this No. 2 team to an opening night win against Temple. The 2015 NCAA basketball live online and televised coverage comes via SEC Network or ESPN3.
As USA Today reported in their Nov. 13 game preview report, the Kentucky Wildcats failed to reach their goal of a National Championship last season, falling short two games shy of cutting down the nets. The team had an impressive run, going undefeated through the regular season, but was unable to outlast a talented and hungry Wisconsin Badgers team. Now, Kentucky will look to try once again, after losing several of the big stars from last year’s contending team. Those stars included Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie-Cauley Stein who both went to the NBA.
That will mean 6-11 freshman Skal Labissiere starts as the big man for the Wildcats this year. They also have a 7-footer in the form of freshman Isaac Humphries who may see time on the floor. As for scoring, they lost a good chunk of their overall scoring and rebounding but newcomer Labissiere will look to combine with senior forward Alex Poythress and junior forward Marcus Lee to handle the work on both ends of the floor. Labissiere had 22 points which he scored in just the second half of his team’s final exhibition game of the preseason.
Tonight, Calipari’s crew faces the Albany Great Danes as their first game of a back-to-back, with another game taking place at Rupp Arena Saturday night. Albany isn’t currently ranked in the Top 25, but they’ve found their way into the NCAA tournament brackets in past seasons. They were also voted to finish second place overall in their conference this season. The Great Danes will look two their top notch guards tonight, as they are at least 20-point underdogs at many sports books. The total for tonight’s game is currently hovering around 133 points for the game.
Friday’s Kentucky vs. Albany game for the 2015 Basketball Hall of Fame Classic gets started at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Live televised coverage will be on the SEC Network around the United States. This game may also be live streaming online via the ESPN3 broadband sports network’s website or apps, for cable and satellite customers of participating providers.
