Kate Hudson survived a terrifying experience, but not without freaking out as she faced her fears in an upcoming episode of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls” according to a Monday, July 13 report from People.
In a clip from the show the “How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days” star is seen freaking out a bit as she prepares herself mentally to rappel the mountain. “Oh man, this is freaking me out, Kate confessed to Grylls. Kate Hudson and Grylls spent a total of 48 hours on a challenging, the snow trip through the Dolomites, a formidable Italian mountain range. Their journey even includes an ant-tasting session – a far cry from the luxurious meals Hudson has enjoyed during awards season.
Hudson reveals she also had a great time despite the dinner menus. “The pigeon actually tasted really good,” Kate admits. “Because we slow cooked it, I think it got a little bit more flavor,” Kate reveals at times she was really grossed out, especially when she had to eat the ants, she relents, “The taste of the ants was fine.”
Bear loved his experience with the 36-year-old actress. “One of the charms of Running Wild is you get to these stars really in a very authentic way,” he says. You see the real person when you’re cold, beaten up, hungry and it’s been raining and the altitude and all of that stuff and you’re sleeping on the floor in the middle of a forest. And the real you is amazing. She was fearless, strong, funny. And it was such a privilege to do it together “
Kate Hudson, 36, is only one of the many celebrities who have agreed to face their fears, and live on the edge with Grylls, 41, during the second season of the reality show. TV fans can also look forward to seeing celebrities Kate Winslet, Drew Brees, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed Helms, Michelle Rodriguez, James Marsden and Michael B. Jordan will also appear in later episodes.
As previously Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver made news headlines around Father’s Day after Oliver posted a dig at their biological father Bill Hudson, wishing him Happy Abandonment’s Day. The 65-year-old entertainer has struck back claiming he is no longer recognizing Oliver and Kate as his children. In fact, Bill claims as far as he is concerned they are “dead to him.” “I say to them now, ‘I set you free,’,” Bill tells The Mail in a new interview. “I had five birth children, but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own.” Many fans feel that it is safe to say that Bill Hudson will not have to worry about Kate and Oliver Hudson ever calling him dad again, it is more than clear that Kate and Oliver deeply feel that their mom Goldie Hawn’s longtime boyfriend Kurt Russell is their real dad in their hearts.
