TV One’s Senior Director of Programming and Production Mr. Jubba Seyyid was gracious enough to give us an update on the tremendous growth of TV One. He also gave us an update on his personal accomplishments. Single ladies, I have some bad news- he is officially off the market. He found the love of his life, Brandi Wilson, and they recently jumped the broom. They had a beautiful destination wedding. Great news ladies, there are still good, attractive, successful guys out there who believe in marriage. Mr. Jubba’s recent nuptials are proof! Feel free to view the elegant event in the slide show.
Well, the secret is out! TV One is an amazing relatively new network that is steady on the move, gaining much success, and surpassing many of its competitors. Jubba explains that strategic planning and exemplary execution are responsible for the growth.
The willingness of TV One to diversify the programming with new hit television shows like Born Again Virgins and For My Man, bringing shows with high viewer ship and ratings back for another season like Unsung, and their commitment to the community they serve have been major sources of growth.
Lastly, cleverly continuing to give viewers the legendary hits they love, like Sanford and Son and Good times, to name a few, is apparently a catalyst for growth as well.
Furthermore, Jubba, admits he is enjoying the growth and development, and enjoying very much the ride, so to speak. He is currently overseeing the direction of many new hit series and has also recently shifted his attention to TV One’s Launch of Monthly Original Movies. He is most proud of the feature films White Water and a yet to be titled biopic about R&B songstress, Miki Howard. The monthly original movies are showcasing new and upcoming filmmakers as well as established masters in the industry. Therefore, I asked him to direct readers on how to get into the action with TV One.

Tamara atombash.com: What drives your ambition to work hard in the television business?
Jubba: I am delighted to be able to present programming that makes me proud to be an African American. He goes on to relate that he is interested in programming that depicts strong men and women with history, vision, and values. He also wants readers to know TV One is expanding its programming with edgy content that depicts real life circumstances.
We can all admit his journey to success has been amazing. This kid from Newark, New Jersey has certainly etched out a bright and shiny future in television for himself and his hard work and good ethics surely paved the way.
Last but not least, Jubba is looking amazing with a 25 pound weight loss and a fit strong physique. I am sure we would all like to know his secret. Jubba explained he started taking his diet and excercise seriously by spinning 4 times a week, eating smaller portions more frequently; taking vitamins each day and drinking plenty of water. Although, he still is working on getting more rest.
