Josh Duggar’s 2008 joke about sibling dating has resurfaced in light of his child molestation scandal. What may have appeared as innocent teasing has now come back to haunt Josh Duggar and family during what could prove to be the family’s toughest obstacle ever according to a Monday, May 25 report from People.
Josh Duggar, 27, star of TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting” issued an apology for a crime he committed when he was 14-years old. The Duggar family scandal is far from over as Josh’s past has resurfaced and new and revealing information has been uncovered. A short video, a 20-year-old Josh explains how he had planned to take his then-fiancee Anna to the movies. His younger sister Jinger was supposed to chaperone, but she was too young to attend an 18-plus film. The solution, he explains, is to have siblings Jana and John David chaperone instead — in what he describes as a “double date. “
“So, we chose Jana and John David –- we thought why not have a double date,” Josh says. The camera then cuts and he begins laughing while he says, “We are from Arkansas!” The joke, in poor taste has resurfaced and which clearly implies an incestuous relationship between siblings. The joke made when he was 20 is now even more disturbing considering the sexual molestation information that has come to light.
Things continue to snowball for not only Josh Duggar, who is being slammed as a sexual predator, but for his family. The investigation has also revealed that Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar along with the church elders are involved in the huge attempt to cover up Josh’s sex crimes.
