Luxury is defined as ‘the state of great comfort, and magnificent living,’ If one name could be added to define luxury living, that name would be the one and only Jill Zarin. Zarin is no stranger to fabulosity. She has long held the title of the queen of New York City, and the Hamptons. Zarin is seen at all of the most glamorous events, mingling with her A-list celebrity friends, dripping in diamonds, always wearing the most fabulous designers. Zarin made her mark on society long ago when she was voted the best dressed woman in New York City. One of Zarin’s most iconic fashion moments was when she strolled into the event that was held in her honor after winning best dressed. Jaws dropped when she emerged wearing an Alexander McQueen original that the late designer made just for her. Jill Zarin is a New York City icon and it was only natural for her to take over The Hamptons.
After moving into a fabulous oceanfront estate three years ago, Zarin set out to throw the ultimate party of the year, and Jill Zarin’s Luxury Luncheon was born. This year, the event was hosted by the largest real estate firm on the East Coast, Douglas Elliman, and drew a who’s who of A-List Celebrities and Socialites including Actress Sarah Wynter, Danielle Staub, Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte, Eli Mizrahi, Cynthia Bailey, Genevieve Jones, Annie Falk, Dottie Herman, Carole Crist, Lisa Wexler, Andrea Canning, Phillip Bloch, Markus Klinko, Allyson Shapiro, Chef Roble, and Rita Cosby.
Undoubtedly the most talked about party of the year, guests were mailed golden tickets for entry to the coveted affair. Upon arrival, guests were treated like royalty and enjoyed complimentary services and touch-ups by Madame Paulette before hitting the red carpet. Gourmet food was designed and served by CARLYLE OFF THE GREEN with Celebrity Chef Roblé. Guests sipped on an endless supply of rosé provided by Josh Cellars Wine and signature cocktails provided by AVIV vodka and Purity vodka. Bobby Zarin hosted the Modell’s sponsored “Man Cave. Priv provided mini-“manscaping” services for the men, and custom tailored shirts were created by Bellucci Nappoli. Luxury shoes designed by Paul Drish wowed the crowd. The “Man Cave” also included gifts for men in attendance from Remington, Ralph Lauren and John Allan’s premier men’s grooming club. If that weren’t enough, the Man Cave was stocked full of Samuel Adams, Boston Lager, Josh Cellars fine wines, and fresh-made gourmet panini’s from Antico Noé.
Zarin’s wonderland of luxury continued with exclusive trunk shows provided by Hoss Intropia, Minnie Rose, Goddessey Boutique, Lauren Cecchi, TLF APPAREL, Chic to Chic, OCIE NEW YORK and Genevieve Jones. Saks Fifth Avenue’s ‘The Personal Shopping Experience’ was stocked with the latest couture trends including fine jewelry. TiVo demonstrations were held inside the media-room, and an art show curated by Jill and Bobby Zarin from the collection of Raponi & Gallery Bedeschi included art by Alec Monopoly, Peter Tunney and Santlov were on display. A “beauty bar” included make-up touch-ups by Victoria Duke Beauty, and nail polish changes by Solo One-Step Gel Nail and LVX, teeth whitening from Manhattan Whitening Company and Dr. Eric Novison.
Proceeds from the event were donated to The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation, an organization that became near and dear to the Zarin’s hearts after Bobby Zarin was diagnosed with cancer. Jill said that she was inspired to create the Douglas Elliman Presents, Jill Zarin’s Third Annual Luxury Luncheon, as a tribute to husband Bobby, and in the spirit of encouraging friends to enjoy each day to its fullest. Zarin said that if she can bring joy to her friends, create a memorable event, and raise money for charity, it is a win-win for all involved.
As Jill Zarin took the stage looking sensational in flowing resort collection dress from Carole Crist’s fabulous Goddessey Boutique, donning Valentino shoes, she thanked all of her friends for joining her, and expressed her gratitude to all of the vendors and friends that worked so hard behind the scenes to make her vision a reality. “I am humbled by your passion, tireless efforts, and grateful for your support,” said Zarin, “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience,” added Zarin, “We’re so busy watching out for what’s ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are.” And with a round of applause Zarin exited the stage and kissed her adoring husband Bobby. Jill and Bobby Zarin are truly in love and it is rare to find people who spread their joy to the world.
After a day of extravagant luxury at Zarin’s oceanfront estate, guests were transported to 1Oak where Joe Jonas surprised guests as the DJ and Supermodel GiGi Hadid sat with Zarin’s daughter Ally. “It was one of the most incredible days of my life,” said one guest adding, “from start to finish, the Douglas Elliman Presents, Jill Zarin’s Third Annual Luxury Luncheon, was like living a dream, and I can’t wait to see what Jill does next year.”
There is no doubt that Jill Zarin is an extraordinary person. Her kind heart and philanthropic endeavors have helped people around the world, and her annual luxury luncheon is by far the hottest party of the year. Jill Zarin has won the hearts of fans all over the world and she remains the undisputed queen of the Hamptons. When I think of Jill Zarin, a quote from Maya Angelou comes to mind, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
