Jessica Alba flaunted her sizzling yoga-toned body in a white string bikini while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. In the photos, a bikini-clad Jessica looks super-fit as she walks on a picturesque white sand beach.
Alba maintains her hot bikini body with a low carb, Paleo-based diet, yoga, spinning and CrossFit workouts, Celebrity Health Fitness reported. Despite her sensational physique, Jessica is not a fan of exercise.
“I hate working out,” said the mom of two. “It’s boring! I really only did it when I had a job that was physically demanding. From age 17 until I was 27, all I did were movies that were physically demanding, so all I did was work out all the time!”
Still, Jessica makes regular workouts and an organic diet a part of her lifestyle because her career depends on it. And lately, Alba has begun to embrace exercise for stress relief.
Recently, I’ve started to work out for stress. I realize that I just need to give my mind a break.
If you don’t get rid of some extra energy, you can internalize it, and it becomes so unhealthy.”
Alba maintains her sleek 5-foot-7 physique by following a low-carb, Paleo-style diet that features low-starch organic vegetables and fruits, and she avoids processed food. Jessica, who has a family history of obesity, began cooking at an early age to take control of her weight and health.
Low-carb diets such as the Atkins, ketogenic and Atkins diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman.
For exercise, Alba does yoga, calisthenics and cardio exercise such as spinning. Alba’s circuit-training workouts incorporate fat-blasting CrossFit moves. Jessica’s CrossFit coach is fitness expert Yumi Lee. Lee is married to CrossFit athlete Ron Mathews, who trains Joe Manganiello.
Manganiello has credited the Paleo diet and CrossFit for his insanely ripped physique. Similarly, Tim McGraw lost 40 pounds and has rippling eight-pack abs, thanks to the Paleo diet and CrossFit workouts.
‘I Have Cellulite, a Muffin Top and Stretch Marks’
Alba, who shot to stardom in 2000 after starring in the TV series “Dark Angel,” is widely considered one of the hottest women in the world, but insists she’s uncomfortable with her sex-symbol status. “I know my looks were my path into Hollywood, but I never really enjoyed the kind of attention that comes with the [sex-symbol] image,” said Jessica.
Alba’s net worth now tops $200 million, thanks to her 15% to 20% stake in The Honest Company, a maker of organic health products.
Ironically, the brunette beauty said becoming a mother made her more at ease with her sexy image. While her lean, athletic physique is the envy of millions of women, Jessica claims she has cellulite and belly fat, and has learned to embrace her imperfections.
“I don’t have the body of a 14-year-old anymore,” said Alba. “I have cellulite and stretch marks, and I have a muffin top! I think the more we try not to have that unrealistic ideal, the happier we’ll be.”
