Jennifer Lawrence will soon be appearing on screens across the world in her new movie “Joy.” It was reported by The Hollywood Reporter on Nov. 28, 2015, Lawrence has unveiled “Joy” which is a story about a woman across four generations. The movie “Joy” by film director, screenwriter, and producer David O. Russell stars Lawrence as a divorced mother who moves on to become a successful entrepreneur.
The first screenings of “Joy” recently took place in Los Angeles and New York. This story is said to be somewhat based on the life of Joy Mangano who was the inventor and entrepreneur behind the creation of the Miracle Mop and many other household products. In her role as Joy in the movie Lawrence is determined to create her own pathway in life and in the business world.
“Joy” will be released by Fox on Dec. 25, 2015. This is the third film Lawrence has made with Russell. Lawrence won the best actress Oscar for her role in 2011’s “Silver Linings Playbook.” In 2013’s “American Hustle” she received a nomination for best supporting actress. In “Joy” Lawrence says she had the fantastic opportunity to play a woman across four generations. As for Russell she has commented that she will do anything with him until he dies.
Just Jared reports Lawrence looked absolutely gorgeous in a flowered sweater at a screening of her new film “Joy” at the Directors Guild of America Theatre on Saturday evening in New York City. She was joined by her co-stars Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper. Lawrence says her role in this movie was truly interesting and inspirational.
It has been reported by The Wrap Lawrence has said her relationship with Russell has been sweet and really messed up. When asked what she said about the role in “Joy” when Russell first approached her about it Lawrence first said she wanted to know who’s producing it and how much money would be involved. Than she smiled and said she was just kidding and that if it was a Russell project her only questions where actually when and where? It seems as if Lawrence is really destined to be reaching for new horizons in her success as an actress in “Joy” and thereafter with Russell by her side.
