Jared Leto is giving thanks… for understanding neighbors. The actor delivered Thanksgiving pies to residents in his Laurel Canton neighborhood less than a month after he threw a rager of a Halloween party that angered several people on his street, according to TMZ on Friday.
While Halloween was a bust, Jared Leto took a new approach for Thanksgiving, delivering pies from Whole Foods to some of the neighbors on his street. The personalized pies each came with note from the Oscar winning actor. Zap 2 It posted photos of some of the pies, including a pumpkin pie in a Whole Foods box with the message “Happy Thanksgiving! From: Your Neighbor, Jared Leto” handwritten on the box. Another photo showed an apple pie with a computer printed message from Leto, complete with a turkey graphic.
Shortly after Leto moved into the Laurel Canyon neighborhood in Los Angeles, he threw an ill-fated Halloween bash. Local residents claimed his party guests “wreaked havoc” in the neighborhood, and several of them slammed the actor on social media, with one irate neighbor even dissing the star for not providing shuttle service to his party guests. Not exactly the best welcome to the neighborhood.
But Jared Leto’s pie peace offering seems to have worked. After his Turkey Day pie delivery, one of Leto’s neighbors posted a thank you message to the actor on Twitter and welcomed him to the neighborhood, while another happy Laurel Canyon resident described the “Suicide Squad” star as “classy” and “a super cool neighbor.” Clearly a way to a neighbor’s heart is through his or her stomach.
