On Sept. 21, Insomniac Events, founders of the world-renowned Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas announced the early release of tickets for its monumental twentieth anniversary edition, which is scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Jun. 17, 18, and 19 in 2016. Contrary to what is the expected release date of tickets which typically occurs in mid December, organizers of the music event chose to release the festival’s tickets three months prior due to the recent passing of the Live Entertainment Tax (LET), which is expected increase from 7.5% to 9% starting on Thursday, Oct. 1.
Organizers of the music event are encouraging festival-goers to purchase their tickets prior to the tax effective increase date in an effort to avoid paying the additional 1.5% surcharge (which equates to roughly $30+ per ticket for each general admission ticket purchased or $63.00+ for each VIP ticket purchased respectively). Tickets, shuttle passes, parking, and lockers have already been made available on the music festival’s webpage with general admission passes starting at the ‘Early Owl’ price of $335 plus fees while VIP 3-day passes are priced at $699 plus fees. Ticket prices will steadily increase the closer it nears to the event date.
Among the VIP amenities offered in previous years, VIP passes offer expedited entrance to the festival, elevated viewing decks, private bars and restrooms facilities, fine-dining options, wifi hot-spots, and many other additional perks offered throughout the music events.
