Derek Bruner of League City has been named the top seed in the men’s open division of the HTA Fall Festival tennis tournament, which is headquartered at Lee LeClear Tennis Center October 2-5. Jochen Moser of Houston is the No. 2 seed. The super senior major zone tournament begins Thursday, October 1, at Memorial Park Tennis Center. Mike Burch of Southlake is the No. 1 seed in the men’s 55 singles.
The tournaments are presented by the Houston Tennis Association and sanctioned by USTA Texas.
No. 1 seeds in the men’s adult and senior divisions are: 50s—Eric Kruseman of Houston; 4.5—John Griffin of Houston; 4.0—Anthony Horsley of Austin; and 3.5—Perry Pise of Sugar Land. Blakely Dye of Houston is the top seed in the women’s 4.0 division, and Jesus Bahena of Houston is the No. 1 seed in the wheelchair C singles.
Other top seeds in the super senior singles are: 60s—Kamran Mir of Allen; 65s—Carl Morris of Austin; 70s—Chip Massey of Fair Oaks Ranch; 75s—William Wolff of Fort Worth; and 80s—Douglas Kerin of Austin.
