Don’t worry, the title will make sense once you have finished reading the following feature. The summer time can be downright brutal, especially in some of our country’s most humid environments, so it’s important to know a few tasty recipes that will help cool you down.
While Jack Daniel’s is a fantastic spirit to enjoy neat, not everyone wants to taste whiskey straight up. Today, we have a few new recipes to share for our whiskey drinkers out there. The two recipes we’ll profile and share how to create are the Perfect Gentleman and the Lynchburg Lemonade.
The former is a cocktail I prefer over the latter, but for people who aren’t as comfortable with a stronger cocktail, the Lemonade is also a good option. As to how you make each of these drinks, allow us to provide more information. In order to create a Perfect Gentleman, you will need to have on hand Gentleman Jack, Amaro, fresh squeezed lemon juice, ginger simple syrup, soda water, a shaker, ice and a glass.
First, you need to add one and half ounces of Gentleman Jack into your shaker, which should be filled with ice. Next, add in one fourth of an ounce of Amaro, one and a half ounces of fresh squeezed lemon juice, one and a half ounces of ginger simple syrup and finally, two ounces of soda water. Shake up the contents thoroughly and then pour into your glass and you’re ready to enjoy.
The Perfect Gentleman cocktail proves to be a surprisingly refreshing drink that doesn’t completely drown out the phenomenal taste of Gentleman Jack. It’s a splendid whiskey to enjoy neat, but if you need to add in a mixer for friendlier flavor, then the Perfect Gentleman is a delicious option.
The next drink we’ll talk about is the Lynchburg Lemonade beverage, which I found to be even more refreshing than the Perfect Gentleman. This is absolutely a drink I recommend for people who are looking for a more friendly taste that doesn’t overpower them with whiskey.
To be able to create a Lynchburg Lemonade cocktail, you must have on hand Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, triple sec, sour mix, lemon-lime soda, a glass, ice, lemon slice and a cherry. First, you must add some ice into your glass, though it doesn’t have to be filled up all the way. Next, mix in one part Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, one part triple sec, which can be any brand you choose, one part sour mix and four parts lemon-lime soda, which again, can be any brand you choose.
Once you have all of the ingredients added into your glass, you won’t shake the contents, instead you’ll be stirring everything up until you are satisfied with the consistency. Finally, as a garnish, feel free to top the drink with a lemon slice and cherry. Overall, each of these beverages provide a nice option for enjoying two of Jack Daniel’s finest whiskeys, Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 and Gentleman Jack. If you need some additional recipes to choose from, head on over to Jack’s official site as they have more aside from these two.
