Earlier today I put the following press release out to the broad media. Now I want to share the contents with my many readers here at the atombash.com. I am now into my sixth year writing for the atombash.com and it has been a beautiful experience. I have learned so much about my primary topic, primarily the world of entertainment in the greater Los Angeles area that my perspective has been unalterably changed and my view vastly widened.
I have particularly discovered the immense amount of usually very high quality legitimate theatre here in the L.A. area. At first blush, who knew? Say “Hollywood” and folks instantly and understandably think “movies” or “television” but rarely do they think of the stage. Yet right here in “Hollywood” there are literally hundreds of stages graced with the rich talent of thousands of actors. I have been so moved by my joyful discovery that I just wrote the book Hollywood on Stage A critical review by Ron Irwin. Here are the details in press release form.
PRESS RELEASE – IMMEDIATE
May 26, 2015
Ron Irwin writes the definitive work on legitimate theatre in Los Angeles. Hollywood on Stage A Critical Review by Ron Irwin.
BURBANK, CA Award winning author and film and stage critic Ron Irwin has just released a truly definitive review of legitimate theatre in Los Angles, California. “Hollywood” has long been known as the center of film and television but until now far too little has been known of its vast collection of theatrical stages and the legion of impressive actors who walk the boards.
His book Hollywood on Stage A Critical Review by Ron Irwin, is a compilation of dozens of his theatrical reviews, numerous actor profiles and added commentary focused on the vast but far too frequently overlooked legitimate theatre that is thriving in the greater Los Angeles area.
When one thinks of theatre the norm is to default to thoughts of Broadway, but the truth is there is likely as much if not more live theatre in L.A. than there is on Broadway. Heck just the Pantages is a larger venue than most of the theatres on Broadway and the Pantages hosted the Academy Awards for ten years, something no Broadway venue will ever claim. said Ron Irwin
Currently his book Hollywood on Stage A Critical Review is available exclusively at Lulu.com. http://www.lulu.com/shop/ron-irwin/hollywood-on-stage-a-critical-review-by-ron-irwin/paperback/product-22185952.html. It will soon be also available on Barnes and Noble.com and Amazon.com as well as other outlets.
